Here are some guidelines to help you get the best result from your Candleliers candle.
The first burn: Allow your candle to burn in between 3-4 hours the first time you lit it up. Remember that wax has memory and allowing it to reach its full melt pool the first time, will ensure even and full life of your candle.
Burn time: We recommend a maximum burn time of 3-4 hours at a time. After that the candle won’t release any more scent.
Trim your wick: Always trim your wick to 0.5mm (1/4 inch) before each use.
Wax: We use Golden Brands 464, a 100% soy wax that produces a much cleaner burn than traditional paraffin wax and is used by professional candle makers around the world. Soy wax has unique characteristics so imperfections are normal and will not affect the quality of your candle.
The punt: Also known as the kick-up, is the dimple at the bottom of most wine and champagne bottles. When making the candle, the wick is placed on top of the punt and the wax below it only serves as a base and will therefore not be used.
Recycle: Empty Candleliers jars can be used for flowers, makeup supplies, pencils, plants, etc. The possibilities are endless…
